My family moved here specifically because of the school 7 years ago. We found the school exceptional in terms of leadership, quality of teaching, and the student-teacher ration. Our daughter has been part of the school system since 6th Grade, and we have been actively involved in the school.
We have raised four children, and all of them have attended public schools for their entire education. We believe in the public education system, as well as the responsibilities of parents to be responsible for training and raising their children–not the school system.
It has been an honor to serve Custer County on the School Board. I have always put the students first in all my decisions, and will continue to do so. We must all work together in this community to provide the best possible education for our children, grandchildren, and future leaders.
I ask for your vote. Ballots will be mailed to all residents on October 11, 2011. If you do not get one, please visit the Custer County offices (Debbie Livengood, Clerk and Recorder) to vote.
